While there over 100 million Persian Speakers in the worldwide we have approximately two million in North America. Those who speak Persian (Farsi) are mostly from Iran but the people of Afghanistan and Tajikistan also speak it. The main concentration of Persian Speakers are in California, Texas, Chicago area, Washington DC and Atlanta. In Canada they are in the Toronto area. They assimilate well so we often do not realize where they are from.
